In the June Belltown Messenger I revealed some plans for a leaner, meaner Belltown Messenger. I forgot to mention in the article that belltowndispatch.com will cease to be an updated blog as of July 4, 2010.

The Belltown Messenger's board of directors felt that belltowndispatch.com was diluting the brand, and I agree. Also, Belltown now has a 24 hour news cycle, and we feel no need to be a part of that. Cyd Gillis, Jesse Fowl and David Nelson all have regularly updated Belltown blogs and do a good job of supplementing the Belltown news coming in from endless other sources. And the smart-ass opinion-piece bullshit I was posting on here was starting to wear thin.

Don't worry - we're not going anywhere. The Messenger will still come out monthly, in print and online.
